The Society’s own papers

Documents

The papers the Society itself produced and kept — 194 different papers in all, each transcribed or shown in full beside its original PDF. The papers of the annual meetings are in one table; everything else is in the Document Archive, by kind; and the year-by-year table shows what survives from each year. 19 annual-meeting papers are listed both in that table and in the Document Archive, so the two cards below add up to more than 194.

Personal contact details are removed from papers dated 2011 or later. The newsletter issues are under The Newsletter, and the convention and workshop papers under The Craft. Convention programmes, invitations and exhibition catalogues are in two places: the Document Archive’s Invitations & Programs collection, and the convention papers under The Craft.

Six of the Society’s own papers, overlapping left to right: the typescript history written for the tenth anniversary in 1960, the Leather ’82 exhibition catalogue, the programme of the 40th Annual Meeting in 1990, the Spring 1970 issue of Canadian Leathercraft, the Toronto Branch membership list of 1979-80, and the Society’s own account of how it began
