The Newsletter
Canadian Leathercraft was the Society’s own journal, printed quarterly for most of its life and three times a year from 2021, from its first newsletter of September 1951 to its final issue of 2026. Every issue that survives is here, transcribed from the original and shown beside its PDF, gathered by decade, newest first.
Also preserved by Library and Archives Canada: the print edition (ISSN 0045-5121) and the online edition (ISSN 2370-9847).
The Society voted to dissolve on 10 May 2025. Its last editor and the caretakers who wound up its affairs published one final issue, Fall 2026, reporting the vote and the Society’s last year.
To find an article, use the Index of Articles, which lists every title the issues printed, alphabetically. Reports of conventions, competitions and workshops are also kept with the papers of those gatherings, under The Craft.
