Canadian National Exhibition '74
The Canadian National Exhibition show, sponsored by the Canadian Guild of Crafts (Ontario), is Canada's only annual national juried craft show. The show will be on view August 14, September 2, 1974 at the Better Living Building. Over 600 entries were submitted this year. 114 were accepted for the show, which will be hung by Paul Epp. Jurors Sallie O'Sullivan, Harold (Bill) Helwig and Victor Brosz had many interesting comments about the work. Comments included statements about function, design and technique, and criteria. Quality was stressed by all of the jurors. Their complete comments will be printed in the October issue of Craft Dimensions along with photos of the show and the winners of the numerous awards. If you are unable to see the show at the CNE, hangings from the show will be on exhibit at the Ontario Association of Architects building, 40 Park Road, Toronto, during September.
