The Society’s Records
Philip Torno
Everything the Society’s own records say of Philip Torno — the offices held, the standings conferred, and the awards won — gathered on one page. Where the records are silent, so is this one.
Not a CSCL officer: he was Treasurer, then elected first Vice-President, of the Canadian Conference of the Arts, an external body the Society belonged to; both offices are reported at the Conference’s 16th Annual Meeting, Toronto, September 1961, in a CSCL newsletter article by Anne Hook (1961-summer pp1-3). Fred Brown read the CSCL’s own report at the same meeting.
From Summer 1961.
