Clarice Packham died in July 1991, living into her nineties. The following year the Society's bulletin carried this tribute, submitted by Nora Huyck and Gladys Riddell. It is reproduced as printed.
CLARICE PACKHAM died July 1991, living into her nineties. She was a Fellow and a Life Member.
Clarice Packham, Edith Roscoe, and Isabel Hanna started the Weston Leathercraft Guild. The Guild merged and she became a Charter member of the CSCL. The Packham home was the scene of many meetings and classes, giving many workshops and many demonstrations to guild members. She also taught classes at Weston Collegiate. Clarice learned her glove making in the USA and was also taught by F.O. BAIRD. Being equal to any challenge, she made decorative gloves; practical gloves; and also gloves for crippled hands. Clarice was also an expert in other areas of leathercraft, including design. She was top judge at the CNE and also won numerous prizes for her leather articles, there and from the guild.

The People Register remembers her as a superb glovemaker, remembered for her generosity to novice members. Her exact Fellowship year is one the surviving records do not carry.
