Invitation to the 2020 Annual

The invitation prints “May 8, 9 & 10, 2017” and dates the annual dues to “March 31st, 2017”, though the weekday it gives for each day (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) only fits 2020, the year on the judging deadline further down the page and on the title of this invitation; the Sunday of the weekend is also printed once as “May 7th,” a date that was a Sunday in 2017 but a Thursday in 2020. The document was evidently built from the 2017 invitation and not every date on it was updated; both years are set out here exactly as printed. The same document also names Irva Ford's estate items on the President's Table as “Erva Ford”, four lines below its own correctly spelled “Irva Ford Memorial Award”; the same one woman, the second spelling a slip of the original. It is an unfinished draft for a convention that was never held that spring: on 27 March 2020 the Executive resolved that the 70th Anniversary Annual “that was to be held in May will have to be postponed to later in the year due to the current COVID 19 Pandemic”, and on 26 June agreed “to cancel the 70th Anniversary until 2021” (the Executive's minutes of those two meetings, in the Document Archive). Its mismatched dates are the marks of a plan overtaken by events, not errors to correct.
