Arthur Ford
Everything the Society’s own records say of Arthur Ford — the offices held, the standings conferred, and the awards won — gathered on one page. Where the records are silent, so is this one.
In memoriam · c. Fall 1970
Husband of Irva Ford, President of the Society at the time. "A genial kindly gentleman", a CSCL member himself for some time, whose support gave Irva Ford "the freedom to do so much for Hamilton and the C.S.C.L." No day-of-month date printed. "The Heritage Hands of Irva Ford" (February 1985) gives his full name, Arthur Llewellyn Ford, a pharmacist and Hanover schoolmate of Irva's who married her in 1936 and ran his own drug store in Hamilton for over 25 years; a musician himself (violin, and a tenor in the Masonic Men's Choir) and an amateur photographer who won three Awards of Merit at the Hamilton Branch of the Canadian Photography Association. Father of Peter, David and Susan Ford.
