Gladys Cooper
The Society’s records
Everything the Society’s own records say of Gladys Cooper: the offices held, the standings conferred, and the awards won. Where the records are silent, so is this part of the page.
In memoriam · 19 February 1982
Of the Belleville Branch, which reported her death in the Spring 1982 newsletter (p. 10) as that of “a very faithful member”: one of the first Belleville members, she had remained active in the Branch until the previous year.
From Spring 1982, page 10.
Where this comes from
Gladys Cooper is named in the records of the Canadian Society for Creative Leathercraft, the society of leather crafters founded in Toronto in 1950 that taught, exhibited and judged its members’ work until it closed in 2025. Its newsletters, papers and photographs are kept in this archive.
