The Society’s records

Everything the Society’s own records say of Hugh Cassidy: the offices held, the standings conferred, and the awards won. Where the records are silent, so is this part of the page.

Named by Silva Fox as one of several guild members "more than qualified and willing to help" with basic tooling questions, after a "back to basics" tooling class she gave at the August 1999 meeting.

From Fall 1999, page 4.

Where this comes from

Hugh Cassidy is named in the records of the Canadian Society for Creative Leathercraft, the society of leather crafters founded in Toronto in 1950 that taught, exhibited and judged its members’ work until it closed in 2025. Its newsletters, papers and photographs are kept in this archive.
