Mrs. Larry Monteith
← People of the Society · on record 1969–1973
Everything the Society’s own records say of Mrs. Larry Monteith — the offices held, the standings conferred, and the awards won — gathered on one page. Where the records are silent, so is this one.
Also recorded as L. Monteith, Mrs. L. Monteith
Of Lambeth, Ontario. Her work won third place in the Canadian National Exhibition's class for a tooled leather article of original design in 1969; Second and Third Prizes at the Western Fair in 1972, for a large article in leather and for leather jewellery; and two third places in the C.N.E. Women's Division in 1973, for a non-tooled article and for leather jewellery. The Society names her only in the married style of its day: the 1969 C.N.E. list and the 1973 non-tooled class print “Mrs. L. Monteith”, the 1972 Western Fair results and the 1973 jewellery class “Mrs. Larry Monteith”. Her own given name is not printed beside any of them.
From Winter 1972–73, page 10; Fall 1969; and Fall 1973, page 9.
