Nicholas Hornyansky
← People of the Society · on record 1957
Everything the Society’s own records say of Nicholas Hornyansky — the offices held, the standings conferred, and the awards won — gathered on one page. Where the records are silent, so is this one.
Served as a juror, described as “A.R.C.A., O.S.A., C.P.E., A.C.P.S., teacher at the Ontario College of Art and well-known Canadian artist,” at the Society’s 1955 competition (1955-fall p9) — two years before the Honorary Membership recorded here under Honours (1957).
From Autumn 1955, page 9.
Honours
- Honorary Membership 1957
An Honorary Membership for one year, reported in the Membership Report to the Annual Meeting of 6 April 1957 — the same report that records the Society's membership rising from 262 to 315 over the year. The Society granted it to the Toronto etcher and painter; the newsletter names no other honorary member that year.
