Part 1 of the Mississauga branch's Tablet / iPad Case workshop, on Sunday 21 January 2018: carving a Celtic weave on a strip of leather, to go on the case. “In preparation to our workshop on Sunday, attached is a list of tools required and drawings of the Celtic Weave pattern that we will be working on.” Members were asked to trace the pattern to the size they wanted onto tracing film beforehand. The branch's report of the year records a different January item, Kim Winchester's leather pot holder made without any stitching, from its regular meeting. Kim Winchester's notices to the branch, “MSCL -workshop Jan 21”, e-mail of 9 January 2018, and “MSCL workshop - Jan 23rd - tools required”, 20 January 2018; the pot holder is in the branch's own report in the Society's Annual Meeting reports for 2017–2018, page 6.
