Bring something for the Pot Luck Lunch. Beverages and water will be provided.

The Part 1 workshop will get the participants making models of their chosen subject. Polymer clay will be constructed then hardened. The models will be trimmed and finished, made ready for pewter casting. Once the models are ready, we'll use transparent acrylic sheet to hot glue a box for your silicone mold. The box with the model will be half filled with the silicone to form the 1st half of the mold. It will cure overnight. For the silicone mold you must be registered for
Part 2 of the workshop.

Participants must be prepared with some definite ideas about what to cast in pewter. Google
Images will show you the details that can be worked into the castings. Mississauga Guild has done a class, see the photos at https://goo.gl/tfVBkh Eugene has made pewter castings used on the strap attachment for his Dragon Quiver: https://goo.gl/aLT1x6

We are planning a follow up workshop with Silicone mold making and pouring the liquid pewter. Cost will be $40 for Members or $50 for non-members. Dates to be determined. To participate in part 2 you must be registered for both parts 1 and 2.

Tools to bring: We may use cyanoacrylate glue (crazy glue), metal wires, small knife, scalpel or x-acto knife, ripple blade, stylus, playdoh modeling tools (shape cutters), plastic roller, cutting mat - consider bringing those if you have some. You may find your leathercraft stamps suitable for decoration, so bring them too.
