CSCL Executive Minutes
Fifth Friday of the month
November 3rd, 2023 On Skype meet
Skype Meeting: Present - Secretary & News Editor - Lauch, Membership - Barb, 1st VP, Mississagua President -

Call to Order: At 7:39 pm
Minutes of last meeting: September 29th , 2023 were read and Moved by Lauch, Second by Doug - Carried
Business arising from the Minutes of the Last Meeting(s):
a) Library – possible dates for clean up still to be set.
b) Craft Ontario – blurb for society and branches added to web site info – Lauch. No report
c) Guest Spots still open
d) Interesting Web Sites - Doug will contact Lauren for more information. No report
e) New Chapter startups- Lauch to send Doug available info
f) Website and Facebook – Could be used for online classes, Book reports, youtube etc. No report
g) The Newsletter will have a Section for members to trade/sell tools. Emails will be used as primary contact.
h) Continuation Report – Barry Taylor said no meetings are planned this year - no report
i) Correspondence – emails to website. -
j) IFOLG Report – Jim was at the meeting in Kansas and registrations were down due to competition with a
Leather Show in the Netherlands. Last year in Fort Worth the Vendors were charged for their tables and many
boycotted this in protest. Many of the Vendors are regular members. Dye formulations from the 1940's is
seeing a resurgence. Many of the affiliated groups are having trouble finding new members. A Bison was
carved and coloured at the Workshop , Jim showed his version. The Next meeting will be in St Louis on Oct 9-
13, 2024
