Canadian Handicrafts Guild (Ontario) selection for the Dartmouth College exhibition
Awarded for an article selected by the Canadian Handicrafts Guild (Ontario) for a Canadian crafts exhibition at Dartmouth College.
Not a competition with placings: the Guild chose one article each from three C.S.C.L. members to represent Canadian leathercraft at “the very exclusive exhibition at Dartmouth College,” Hanover, New Hampshire, in 1967. The President's own report to the 17th Annual Meeting cites it as recognition of the Society's raised standards. The three: Clara Cavanagh (Tote Bag), Daphne Lingwood (leather necklace) and Olivia Smith (belt with sterling buckle).
