Hinged Boxes were the Society's own workshop that year, and it was given twice so that members could choose the nearer one: once in Mississauga, at Paul Kitchener's Focused-on-Foods, and once at the Norland School Hall Community Centre. Lauch Harrison led both. Sixteen people came between them, and the two sittings returned $170.15 to the Society. Some members went to both, for the extra practice. The newsletter for Fall 2016 carried the workshop as well, alongside the Leather Waxed Mug. The Workshop Committee's report to the Annual Meeting, page 4: “Hinged Boxes and Blackjacks were held in Mississauga and in Norland… The Hinged Box Workshops had 16 attendees and returned $170.15 profit to the CSCL. Lauch Harrison led both workshops.” The venues and the reason for the duplication are on the same page; the Editor's report on the page before records the Fall 2016 coverage.
