70th Annual Convention Weekend, Hamilton, May 8–10, 2020 — invitation and programme (Hamilton Leather Guild; the sheet prints the year as 2017)
Filed as “CSCL Annual Invite 2020A”.
The sheet prints May 8, 9 & 10, 2017; it announces the 70th Annual (the 69th was 2019), the programme runs Friday May 8 to Sunday, and May 8 fell on a Friday in 2020, not 2017. It is an unfinished draft for a convention that was never held that spring: on 27 March 2020 the Executive resolved that the 70th Anniversary Annual “that was to be held in May will have to be postponed to later in the year due to the current COVID 19 Pandemic”, and on 26 June agreed “to cancel the 70th Anniversary until 2021” (the Executive's minutes of those two meetings, in the Document Archive). Its mismatched dates are the marks of a plan overtaken by events, not errors to correct.
The Executive meeting that postponed the convention: 2020 March 27Executive.
The meeting that put it off until 2021: 2020 June 26 Exec Meeting.
