Karen Gunna FCSCL led a Society workshop on machine-sewing leather on Sunday 11 February 2018 at Focused on Food in Mississauga, on flat-bed walking-foot machines. Beginners made a large unlined hobo bag with two pockets; the intermediate choice was a smaller lined phone pouch with a strap. Karen took the group through zipper installation, patterning, seaming, appliqué, and setting snaps and rivets. The workshop's own flyer, “CSCL Workshops presents Machine Sewn Hand Bags with Karen Gunna FCSCL”, February 11, 2018, in the Society's Document Archive.
