The Hamilton branch's 1976-77 annual report: "we now have 34 members but were deeply saddened by the loss of Betty Henstridge and Lila Balaban, two really faithful people." No date of death given beyond the 1976-77 branch year.

An Associate of the Society from 1961, she served for many years on its Executive Council through the 1960s and into the 1970s. The Hamilton Branch's 1976-77 annual report recorded her death, and that of fellow member Lila Balaban, as a loss to its 34 members that year.
