John Trops

← People of the Society · on record 1969–1979

Everything the Society’s own records say of John Trops — the offices held, the standings conferred, and the awards won — gathered on one page. Where the records are silent, so is this one.

In memoriam · reported Spring 1985

A Toronto member, and the winner of a Salon Award for an album at the International Assembly of 1969. The Spring 1985 newsletter (p. 11) reported his death and Winifred Coombs’s together, as recent. Name confirmed as "John Trops" (also the spelling on the 1973-summer Weston Trophy sketch plate, p11); a stray repeated trailing "s" in the name field ("Tropssss"/"Tropsss") corrected.

From Spring 1985, page 11.
