Mary Zatyko
← People of the Society · on record 1979
Everything the Society’s own records say of Mary Zatyko — the offices held, the standings conferred, and the awards won — gathered on one page. Where the records are silent, so is this one.
In memoriam ·
No obituary or death notice found; inferred only from the existence of a "Mary Zatyko Memorial Award" by the 1982 Biennial exhibition (Leather '82), bounded after her appearance on the Toronto Branch's 1979-80 membership list (there printed "Zatyko, Mary") and before 1982. Filed as a placeholder pending a firmer date; not a confirmed death record.

Standing
Toronto Branch Member 1979
Branch
Toronto · first listed as a member in 1979
Toronto Branch member, on record 1975-1980. Thanked, with Fred and Phyllis Brown, Sadie Roebuck, Jessie Little, Anne Hook and Jean Hunter, for many hours’ work on the Larmour Memorial Library Committee’s auction sales, which by 1975 had realized over $1000 (1975-spring p11). Demonstrated “Leather Garment Construction” to the Toronto Branch in May 1980, per the branch’s own 1979-80 program list (CSCL Documents, “80 annual”, p.17). The “Mary Zatyko Memorial Award” for Best Soft Leather Piece was already current by the Leather ’82 exhibition, which opened 2 July 1982 in Brampton (CSCL Documents, “82 awards”, p.1, first awarded there to Kay Cloughley), which places her death between May 1980 and July 1982.
From Spring 1975, page 11.
