Presented at the Tenth International Assembly of Leather Craftsmen, Toronto, 1–3 May 1964, where 181 members registered and 119 sat down to the banquet. Dr. Ralph K. Larmour made the presentation in what the newsletter calls "a witty speech", honouring Dengler as the "Instigator" of the International Assembly — the series of annual gatherings of the leathercraft guilds of Canada and the United States that began at the Hotel Statler in Buffalo in October 1954 and ran to 1970.
