WORKSHOP REPORT
The Calico Clutch Purse Workshop in Norland on September 17, 2022
Norland Guild Members – Tracey, Krystal, Sheena, Darren, Carol, Barb C., Barb H., Della
The purse is quite large with front and back panels 11 X 26” and having 4 ½”
gussets. The finished purse is 11 X 11”. The front and back were decorated. The edges to
be closed with stitching or Buck Stitching.
The leather, 3-4 oz and 4-5 oz veg tan was tooled with the supplied artwork, some
members brought their own designs to work on. The inside of the purse was coloured to
reduce the contrast and give a refined look.
Some of the Members wanted shoulder straps and perhaps a top flap. Hope to see
the finished Purses at the next Annual Meeting. Thanks, Lauch.
