Minutes of the Last Meeting(s)
Minutes of November 1, 2019 were not available.
Minutes of April 24, 2020 were not available.
Lauch called for dispensing with the reading of the minutes. Motion by Paul that both sets be
distributed at the next meeting. Seconded by Jim. Carried.

Business Arising from the Minutes of the Last Meeting
a) Postponed Annual General Meeting: no future dates set due to pandemic
b) Email To all Members regarding Annual: Barb had sent an email postponement notice on
March 31, 2020
c) On Hold - Acton Leathertown Festival – August Sales Booth & Demonstrations: Lauch
waiting on reply for email request for information from BIA
d) This site looked interesting for crafters that consider videography and it’s a money-maker!
www.yaymaker.com: Lauren presented some FAQ’s and discussion followed
e) On Hold - Associate Level Benchmarks Schedule Meeting of Fellows: no report
f) Valuating Leather Donations or Estates Policy/Decision Ladder: no report
g) On Hold - Workshop - April Messenger Bag with Karen Weber & Card Box with Lester &

Lauch: no report
h) Lauch presented Lauren’s request to be considered for ‘Backup Secretary’ when Executive

Meetings need the minutes taken via videoconference.: Motion by Kim to accept.
Seconded by Barb. Carried.
i) The CNE is cancelled, Thorndale Fall Fair is monitoring the situation but ‘continuing with
homecraft competitions that would be valid for 2021’. Is there a ruling for CSCL award
competitions that we could include in an update?: Motion by Barb to extend the
eligibility period until such time we hold our next AGM. Seconded by Paul. Carried.
j) Annual reports – should they be produced as of now for a postponed annual. The MAL

REPORT for the 70th Annual was sent to Richard (no ‘read receipt’): clarification made
that Barb has historically accepted them and postponement pushes reports off.

b) Council of Fellows – Sean Dalgetty – No Report.
c) Treasurer's Report – Della Chynoweth – No Report.
d) Newsletter – Barbara Chynoweth – Working on the next edition and requests more submissions of articles.
e) Website – Working Fine. Posted the Winter newsletter. Forwarded an inquiry from BC.
f) Membership – Kim Winchester – Kim was thanked for the letter included in the membership card mailing. New address for e-transfers: [email address removed]
g) Library – Paul Kitchener – a loan cancelled. Books are accessible.
h) Workshop Program – Lauch Harrison/Jim Wilkes/Lester Pinter – No Report.
i) Privacy Officer – Lauch Harrison – No Report.
j) Correspondence – Barbara Chynoweth – the Winter newsletter honoured the passing of Life Member Loreen Manuel. No known address for sympathy card.

Hamilton – Lauchlan Harrison – No Report. Tundra Leather is open.
Mississauga – Jim Wilkes – had a ZOOM meeting.
Norland – Barbara Chynoweth – No Report. Norland Community Centre is closed.
MAL – Lauren Malec – No Report.

New Business
a) Jim showed his Craftsman books. Kim suggested the glove patterns be scanned to add to the library. CSCL will pay for postage.
b) A glove workshop is a good idea.
c) Receipt of Mississauga membership to be confirmed.
d) Minutes of May 22, 2020 prepared by Lauren Malec.
