Minutes of the Last Meeting(s)
Motion by Lauren that the Minutes of the Last Meeting (October 23, 2020) be accepted as
read. Seconded by Della. Carried.
Business Arising from the Minutes of the Last Meeting
a) Annual is postponed: TBD
b) Zoom AGM: No new numbers reported. TBD
c) Membership Lists: Bob Richardson removed from MAL mailing list, per his request.
d) Update list ‘leathercrafting sites/videos/dealers/retailers/wholesalers’: Executive
Members may send these links (plus a description) to the Editor to eventually appear in
the newsletter. Barbara will send these resources out to Members when she receives
them.
e) Meeting of Fellows: TBD
f) Valuating Leather Donations or Estates Policy/Decision Ladder: on hold.
g) Workshops on hold: Free Shipping is not allowed; postage TBD. The CSCL insignia is
proprietary to Fellows for use as a stamping tool.
h) Extended time period for eligible projects, Annual Reports, etc.: TBD
i) Annual Dues – Support from Members and the Associated Guilds?: Life Membership
dues received are considered donations.
j) Newsletter needs NEWS and articles, book reports, updates, Christmas ideas, website
reviews: Summer issue was posted November 10th. Barbara showed a poinsettia
pattern from THE SKIVER and it was agreed that giving credits to its author, Tandy, is
acceptable copy. Lauren suggested change based on 25% attrition in MAL and in
recognition of the revisions of Bylaw ARTICLE IX Publication (May 2016) from May
2007: it was agreed the Editor may plan to eliminate one issue.

a) 1st Vice President – Jim Wilkes – No Report.
b) Council of Fellows – Sean Dalgetty – No Report.
c) Treasurer's Report – Della Chynoweth – Bank balance is $9,423.74 ($6,446.00 is award money). Many of these eponymous awards no longer have contact information but have foreseeable longevity. The Loreen Manuel Education in Leathercraft Fund ($5,000) has $1,300 balance.
d) Bulletin – Barbara Chynoweth – See (j) above.
e) ECO – Eugene Pik – Website is working fine. Suggested that a way to judge in a virtual AGM is to submit photos or send an item for judging.
f) Membership – Kim Winchester – Executive have the 11/25/20-revised copy. Updating done.
g) Library – Paul Kitchener – No Report.
h) Workshop Program – Lauch Harrison/Jim Wilkes/Lester Pinter – No Report.
i) Privacy Officer – Lauch Harrison – No Report.

MAL – Lauren Malec – David sold 13 leathercraft boxes in the Craft Ontario fundraiser as they reached 103% of their goal in last night's auction. Closing bids totalled $10,334. Congratulations.
New Business
a) Della will remit payment of the Craft Ontario Affiliate Membership renewal.
b) Jim recommends the Black Friday sales by Jim Linnell at http://elktracksstudios.com. Visit http://www.texturescraftworks.ca/ where Lauch informs that local shopping has improved greatly for these Hamilton artisans.
c) Minutes of Friday, November 27, 2020 prepared by Lauren Malec.
