Minutes of the Last Meeting(s)
Motion by Lauren that the Minutes of the Last Meeting (September 25, 2020) be accepted as
read. Seconded by Jim. Carried.
Business Arising from the Minutes of the Last Meeting
a) Annual General Meeting: TBD
b) Zoom AGM: Canvass results in favor are Hamilton 4/6, Norland 5/12, Mississauga
unreported, MAL unreported. TBD
c) Membership Lists: most current still to go out; Knotty Linda paid as new
member/corporate.
d) Update list ‘leathercrafting sites/videos/dealers/retailers/wholesalers’: after vetting
the content for quality, Executive Members may begin to send these links (plus a
description) to the Editor to appear in the newsletter.
e) Meeting of Fellows: TBD
f) Valuating Leather Donations or Estates Policy/Decision Ladder: on hold.
g) Workshops on hold: SNAPS & RINGS canvass results from MAL (1) a ‘throw pillow’
with snaps incorporated into a Braille System design (2) Christmas gift key fobs using
‘tap-off pattern’ (3) establish a standard CSCL key fob and consider as a new “Gift” tab
‘free item’ on CSCL website. Lauch to inquire with Hamilton and Della to locate the
official CSCL logo stamping tool in storage.
h) Extended time period for eligible projects, Annual Reports, etc.: TBD
i) Annual Dues – Suspension of Dues in the coming months?: No actions taken on lack of
incentive to signing up past today.
j) Newsletter needs NEWS and articles, book reports, updates, website reviews: see (d)
below.

a) 1st Vice President – Jim Wilkes – No Report.
b) Council of Fellows – Sean Dalgetty – No Report.
c) Treasurer's Report – Della Chynoweth – Bank balance is mostly trust funds designated for awards therefore partly because of dwindling membership it is getting more difficult to cover expenses. Della to call to ask about insurance rebate due to C-19. Motion by Della that any branch with extra funds who wants to voluntarily contribute to the insurance policy do so. Seconded by Jim. Carried.
d) Newsletter – Barbara Chynoweth – Spring Issue is online. Summer Issue ready to go out. Fall Issue call for Christmas articles submissions.
e) ECO – Eugene Pik – Website is working fine.
f) Membership – Kim Winchester – Kim has a MEMBERSHIP PAST DUE reminder letter prepared from the summer but Branch Presidents are asked to follow-up first. Membership List presently sent.
g) Library – Paul Kitchener – No Report.
h) Workshop Program – Lauch Harrison/Jim Wilkes/Lester Pinter – see (g) above.
i) Privacy Officer – Lauch Harrison – No Report.
j) Correspondence, Sympathy Cards – Barbara Chynoweth – None.
