Minutes of the Last Meeting(s)
Motion by Lauren that the Minutes of the Last Meeting (May 28, 2021) be accepted as read
by Lauren. Seconded by Jim. Correction by Barbara: change Bulletin to Newsletter in
Reports and Agenda. Carried.

Business Arising from the Minutes of the Last Meeting
a) Virtual AGM: (1) Fellows still to meet to fine tune for the next AGM Competition Rules
(2) Lauch to ask Sean to present ‘Award Winners Show and Tell’ (October) and Kristi to
present ‘Retailers Guest Spot’ (November) via Zoom with the invitation to be advertised
to All Members. Preference to Tuesday’s 7-7:30.
b) Update ONGOING EXECUTIVE LIST OF INTERESTING LEATHERCRAFT RESOURCES:
Lauren suggested www.wagramleather.com who is retailing in New Brunswick.
c) Fellows’ final comments on Virtual AGM: (1) photos must show the detail being judged
(2) extend the invitation externally (3) have both in person and virtual.
d) Virtual Competition activity/traffic on our website: not available per ECO. However,
about 720 people follow CSCL Facebook & therefore receive updates. ECO can make any
Executive Member an Admin in order to post to CSCL Facebook; beware you need to
monitor your post.
e) How do we charge for Merchandise/Library Books/Tools/Videos?: Discussion re some
free vs charge and also posting “Book Reviews” on CSCL Facebook ‘to point a finger
toward CSCL’.
f) Della to mail Sea Leather Wear skins to Branch Presidents to boost workshop ideas.
g) Insurance Policy sent to Presidents on May 8, 2021. Lauren can get Della’s help re a
comparison quote to Hub Capital (Craft Ontario offers insurance to Affiliate Members).
h) Safety Rules for Workshops and in person meetings: in progress.
i) Craft Ontario (CO): Invitation accepted by Elycia to present Affiliate Membership info at
the November meeting. Lauren will send Eugene her email address.

j) Newsletter: Word Format preferred. Next deadline is December 8, 2021 for December 15 publish.
k) Approach Public Libraries: Where is the CSCL glass case? Lauren will put together a sign/grouping of 6 books plus a leather piece as a travelling promo 'to point a finger toward' our society.
l) The Artist Statements Binder from Leather 2010: Containment: Lauren will hang onto it while maintenance plans are in the works for the Library duplicates. Kim to provide a pdf of Library duplicates. Motion by Kim to reduce the excess (duplicates) of the Library books. Seconded by Della. Carried. Motion by Della to setup 3 sets of books to be distributed to each branch as forever home use. Seconded by Jim. Carried.

a) 1st Vice President – Jim Wilkes – No Report.
b) Council of Fellows – Sean Dalgetty – No Report.
c) Treasurer's Report – Della Chynoweth – Bank balance is $8,201.08.
d) Newsletter – Barbara Chynoweth – Issue M-J-J-A was posted to the website. See (j) above.
e) ECO – Eugene Pik – Google changed its security and he will fix the Contact Us and Membership Form currently down. Forwarded contact info to Lauren and Lauch re a website inquiry from New Brunswick (Julien Jens).
f) Membership – Kim Winchester – to send Membership Lists to Branches.
g) Library – Paul Kitchener – No Report. Discussion. See (l) above.
h) Workshop Program – Lauch Harrison/Jim Wilkes/Lester Pinter – explore the Pocket Wallet reported by Jim (page 8, newsletter) and fish skin ideas.
i) Privacy Officer – Lauch Harrison – No Report.
j) Correspondence, Sympathy Cards – Barbara Chynoweth – Lauch expressed condolences on the passing of Phyllis McHale, Norland Branch and reported that Lauren sent cards to Della, Barbara and Tracey on behalf of CSCL Executive Council.

Branch Reports
Hamilton–Lauchlan Harrison–4 members met to use a heat press, carving initials in wallets.
Mississauga–Jim Wilkes–No meetings.
Norland–Barbara Chynoweth–Alongside the United Church, fundraising by selling pies for their Branch at the 'Rat Rod Ruckus Patinas & Classics Car Show'. Anticipating 700 cars!
MAL–Lauren Malec–Lauren replied by email with the membership application form (pdf) to Julien in New Brunswick at wagramleather.com.

New Business
a) Membership Levels: keep membership fees during virtual/online years the same.
