Minutes of the Last Meeting(s)

Motion by Lauren that the Minutes of the Last Meeting (March 25, 2022) be accepted as read by Lauren.

Seconded by Barbara. Carried.

Business Arising from the Minutes of the Last Meeting

a) Virtual Annual: so far Eugene [email address removed] has received 17 entries from 5 members.
Eugene is to notify those over the maximum of 5 entries.

b) AGM: Via Google Meet on May 14, 10-12. All Reports are due to Lauren by May 7.

c) GUEST SPOT: Possibly after this Annual to All CSCL for Prize winners to describe entries and techniques.

d) Membership cards in the mail.

e) Insurance policy: Problems for meeting space in Norland may lead to changes next year. E-Vote: On April
1, 2022, Motion by Lauch: Purchase insurance for 2022-23 - Yes or No? The vote closed at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday,
April 3, 2022 and all votes received by Lauren, Secretary, were: By a vote of _0_ in favour and _5_ opposed, the
motion was disapproved. This gives clear indication to the Treasurer of the Society's wishes not to purchase
insurance for 2022-23.

f) EXECUTIVE LIST OF INTERESTING LEATHERCRAFT RESOURCES: Revisit these sites regularly.

g) Draw viewers to CSCL website/Facebook: nothing new.

h) Requests for Library materials and patterns: patterns are definitely easy to e-mail.

i) Attaching Members to CSCL website: is manageable.

j) Estate Estimates: Kim met with family of Edith Emelchior/Hawkins, FCSCL (d. 1995), received 4 boxes of
finished leathercraft, plans to auction at a physical Annual. Lauren will research old newsletters, ask
Madeleine for recollections to contribute to a September newsletter write-up by Kim.

k) Tool Sales: how to facilitate? - consider website or Facebook or mass CSCL Email as arises.

l) SAFETY RULES FOR WORKSHOPS: no report.

Reports

a) 1st Vice President - Jim Wilkes - No Report.

b) Council of Fellows - Lauch Harrison - May judging by all Fellows except Eugene. Same rules as last year.

c) Treasurer’s Report - Barbara Chynoweth - Della sent a cheque to Kim to reimburse postage. Bank balance
is $9,484.58. Barry declined to audit so Della is asking locally. Waiting on Mississauga cheque.

d) Newsletter - Barbara Chynoweth - next issue is going out Monday.

e) ECO - Eugene Pik - No Report.

f) Membership - Kim Winchester - cards were mailed.

g) Library - Paul Kitchener - No Report.

h) Workshop Program - Lauch Harrison/Jim Wilkes/Lester Pinter - No report.

i) Privacy Officer - Lauch Harrison - No Report.

j) Correspondence - Barbara Chynoweth - No Report. Lauch received a nomination letter from Lauren.
Motion by Lauren that Nancy Durham, FCSCL be awarded the Life Membership and be honoured at this
Annual. Seconded by Barbara. Carried.

Branch Reports

Hamilton-Lauchlan Harrison-Met at Colin’s where they have been adding a lot of equipment ready to start.

Mississauga-Jim Wilkes-No meetings. Kim talked to Lester about whips/workshop. Location TBD.

Norland-Barbara Chynoweth-Met April 9th, made kid’s moccasins with beading using deer.

MAL-Lauren Malec-Lauren emailed Lisa, WA who may have interest in joining in the future.
