Motion by Barbara that the Minutes of the Last Meeting (February 25, 2022) be accepted as read by Lauren.
Seconded by Paul. Carried.
Business Arising from the Minutes of the Last Meeting
a) Virtual Annual: Invite per Lauch (see Page 2 and the Agenda), CSCL VIRTUAL LEATHERWORK ANNUAL
COMPETITION 2022 to be sent out now by Presidents to branch members and by Barbara to all members.
b) AGM: Via Zoom, no election, on May 14, 10-12. Barbara wants the competition results ASAP. Lauren wants
all reports ASAP for her to send to Barbara for May 7 deadline out to all members. Della needs an auditor;
Lauch will ask Barry and if virtually works for him. In lieu of a workshop is the idea for time allotted to
‘members talk about entries’. Mass notifications: 2wk email, 1wk link, 1day warning before the Annual.
c) GUEST SPOT: Open for suggestions and must be on leathercraft subject.
d) Membership reminders: send out now re March 31.
e) Insurance policy: Agreed not to renew and to replace with a copied boiler plate waiver.
f) EXECUTIVE LIST OF INTERESTING LEATHERCRAFT RESOURCES: latest with the Agenda. Keep adding.
g) Draw viewers to CSCL website/Facebook: nothing new.
h) Requests for Library materials and patterns: must be a member and dealt with as arises.
i) Attaching Member to CSCL website: Established rule is Branch Pres. or 2 Execs for admission.
j) Estate Estimates: General Fee of $100 to CSCL, based on proximity CSCL pays the member for their time.
k) Tool Sales: how to facilitate through CSCL and virtually? Paul spoke of the (non-CSCL) ‘buy/sell leather
tools’ Facebook groups that already exist online.
l) SAFETY RULES FOR WORKSHOPS: no report but does tie into the Executive’s above decision (e) to create
a no-expense event waiver. Paul spoke of other examples and will report back.
