Minutes of the Last Meeting(s)
Motion by Lauch that the Minutes of the Last Meeting (January 27, 2023) be accepted as read by Lauren. Seconded
by Barbara. Carried.
Business Arising from the Minutes of the Last Meeting
a) In-person AGM and Judged Competition – At the Visitor’s Inn on June 2 & 3. Judges will be Sean, Nancy, Kim &
Lauch (if needed).
b) The Virtual Annual Photo Competition will open April 18 and close on May 18. Invitation will set the rules for
entries. Karen, Kim & Lauch will judge online on or before May 21.
c) AGM Friday/Saturday Workshop will allow indepth two-day projects. Please make your requests to Sean or Lauch.
d) 15 MINUTE GUEST SPOT: Lauch will invite Greg Belenky for the spring or late winter.
e) EXECUTIVE LIST OF INTERESTING LEATHERCRAFT RESOURCES: nothing new.
f) Anything new inside CSCL?: website/Facebook, book reports/YouTube: nothing new to report.
g) Tool Sales: Barbara will publish member lists in the newsletter. Bring to trade or sell at the AGM; Lauch will check
for availability of tables re designated for members to use for free. Also, email your ad to Eugene to post on CSCL
Facebook.
h) SAFETY RULES FOR WORKSHOPS: no report.
i) Clutch Purse Workshop in Norland: Barbara hasn’t any photos but Lauch sent his finished purse photos.
j) Correspondence: nothing new.
Reports
a) 1st Vice President – Jim Wilkes – No report.
b) Council of Fellows – Sean Dalgetty – See Page 2.
c) Treasurer’s Report – Della Chynoweth – No changes per Barbara.
d) Newsletter – Barbara Chynoweth – J-F-M-A newsletter will be out in April. Barbara is accepting articles now.
e) ECO – Eugene Pik – nothing new to report.
f) Membership – Kim Winchester – No changes. Notice will go out soon re March dues.
g) Library – Paul Kitchener – It will be announced at the AGM of plans to start post-AGM discussions on the topics
surrounding duplicates, storage and the future of the library.
h) Workshop Program – Lauch Harrison/Jim Wilkes/Lester Pinter – ties in to the AGM workshop request for ideas.
i) Privacy Officer – Lauch Harrison – No report.
j) Correspondence – Lauch to invite previous Cornwall, ON and Hamilton, ON inquirers to the AGM.
Branch Reports
Hamilton–Lauchlan Harrison–Met and getting organized.
Mississauga–Jim Wilkes–long wallet by Kim to start at March 1 meeting.
Norland–Barbara Chynoweth–Met last Saturday and finished work. March is jewellery. Darren (M.A.L.) attends often.
M.A.L.–Lauren Malec–All (11) M.A.L. were notified of the AGM. Stanley at Sea Leather Wear replied with a
swatches photo made in the shape of a patchwork fish.
New Business
1. Nominations Committee needs to be setup now for this election year. Lauch accepted this responsibility.
2. Motion by Barbara that the new! one-time LEATHERCRAFT MADE OF FISH SKINS Award be set to a $50
prize. Seconded by Lauren. Carried.

Fellows of CSCL Meeting

Present: Lauch, Eugene, Paul, Sean, Karen, Kim, Nancy, David (Audio only)
Absent: Carol, Betsy & Lester
Call to Order at 7:38
Minutes of last meeting May 11th, 2022 were Read and Approved
Business Arising from Last Meeting and ongoing affairs

1. Virtual Annual Competition May 21, 2023 – Will open April 18 and close May 18. Karen, Kim & Lauch will Judge and meet on line on or before May 21.
2. Judges will score the photo entries out of ten, based on their own standards and return the scores to be tabulated (by Lauch) prior to May 21.
3. Eugene will receive the emailed entries and set the photos up in a google album.
4. Annual Branch Competition Judging – May 21 (w/Associate/Fellow Entries) - In Person – Location to be determined. Judges will be Sean, Nancy, Kim & Lauch
5. Annual General Meeting Competition in Hamilton – Judging will be Friday June 2. Judges will be Sean, Karen & Lauch.
6. Criteria for Virtual Competition will be outlined in the Invitation. It will closely follow last year Rules.
7. Paul put forward a motion Members can compete in only one competition. 2nd by Kim. Motion Carried.
8. Prize List will be duplicated for each competition. Number of competitors & quality of entries may cause the Prizes not to be given.
