Executive Meeting
Friday January 21, 2016
885 Rangeview Road, Mississauga

Those in attendance: Tracey Howard, Jim Wilkes, Barbara Chynoweth, Della Chynoweth, Paul Kitchener,
Lauchlan Harrison, Rob Rega Guest: Eugene Pik, Rob Pfister.

Call to order: Meeting to order 7:50

Della Chynoweth moved that we accept the minutes of the November 22, 2015 meetings as circulated. Seconded
by Tracey Howard. Carried.

Business Arising from the last meeting

Annual 2016 – Weston Trophy Enteries to Tundra by Friday April 29, 2016! David Trotter has agreed to do a
demonstration at the convention! We have been in touch with Kim Muskrat to do beading/quilling or something a
the convention. We are also going to ask her to do Singing and drumming for our entertainment! It will be a
Hawaiian theme so get your grass skirts ready!

Biennial News – Nothing new to report!

Constitution Committee- Rob Pfister has joined us this evening to discuss the changes to the constitution and
bylaws. ECO – will be to co-ordinate and maintain the social media. Rob will ask Kim Winchester to provide an
updated version of the Constitution and Bylaws to the Executive for approval so it can be sent out to the General
Membership prior to March 14, 2016 so we can vote on it at the Annual Meeting in May 2016.

Reports

• 1st Vice President – Jim Wilkes – No Report.
• 2nd Vice President – Lauch Harrison – No Report
• Council of Fellows – No Report –
• Treasurer’s Report – Della Chynoweth – Our Bank Balance is $7,349.52. Our financial situation does not
change much from one year to the next as our only really big outlay is for insurance and Annual Expenses.
Paul Kitchener moved the treasurer’s report be accepted. Seconded by Jim Wilkes. Carried.
• Bulletin – Madeleine Mitchell – The next bulletin will be coming out soon. Hamilton is up for helping
with the issue.
• Web – No Report.
• Membership – Barbara Chynoweth- No changes. Membership dues are due next month. So please have
your member pay their $40.00 membership and get it in before the Annual.
• Library – Paul Kitchener – Lauren has been using the Library.
• Correspondence – No Report.
• Workshop – Karen Webber will not be available to do a workshop until sometime in April. It was
suggested we do a 2 part workshop with Sean Dalghetty doing the first one in March on basic machine
sewing. The second one with Karen completing a small project in April. Pewter casting was another and
Eugene Pik has agreed to do one April 9, 2016.

Branch Reports

Hamilton – Lauchlan Harrison – Had a meeting and they worked on Shot Gun Shell holders.
Mississauga – Jim Wilkes – Worked on making Braiding.
Norland – Tracey Howard – Worked on filigree and the Annual.
