Executive Meeting
Friday October23, 2015
885 Rangeview Road, Mississauga

Those in attendance: Tracey Howard, Jim Wilkes, Barbara Chynoweth, Della Chynoweth, Paul Kitchener,
Nancy Durham, Madeleine Mitchell. Guest: Eugene Pik

Regrets: Lauren McPherson, Phyllis McHale, Sean Dalgetty, Lauchlan Harrison, Kristi Cino, Rob Regan, Joyce
Scruton.

Call to order: Meeting to order 7:45

As we do not have a Quorum the minutes of the September 25, 2015 meeting and all other motions will have to
wait until the November meeting!

Business Arising from the last meeting

Annual 2016 - We will be contacting Dave Trotter and Kim Muskrat for Demo’s. We are anticipating a luau
For Saturday Night Banquet. It was decided we would incorporate the Coffee Breaks and Lunch in with the meal
expense so no one will have to leave the Howard Johnson to find a restaurant. Anyone wishing to sponsor a
Coffee Break is asked to contact us for more information.

Biennial News – Madeleine Mitchell has contacted the Woodstock Art Gallery and they have requested a
proposal of what we are putting in the exhibit. Are we going to have a theme for this one? Madeleine is to
contact Paul to discuss this proposal to the Gallery.

Workshop – Jim Wilkes advised we have 6 people booked for the workshop on Nov 14, 2015.
Next workshop – January – date or dates to be determined. Subject machine sewing. Karen Weber instructor.
Place 885 Rangeview Road.
Next Workshop – March – Subject and instructor to be determined.

Reports

• 1st Vice President – Jim Wilkes – No Report.
• 2nd Vice President – Lauch Harrison – No Report
• Council of Fellows – No Report – The Constitution Committee formed at the Annual has met again and
has prepared a revised Constitution. A copy will be forwarded to the Executive please read and be ready
to discuss at the next meeting in November.
• Treasurer’s Report – Bank Balance $7,370.01. Mileage bill presented for Nancy Durham. Barbara
Chynoweth presented a bill for the printing of the Annual reports for $39.55. These will have to be
approved at the next meeting.
• Bulletin – The Bulletin will be out mid November. Christmas Norland assisting.
• Web – Eugene Pik was present and we discussed the Web. Eugene had his computer with him and showed
us some information. Della Chynoweth read an email from Kristi Cino regarding the Web/FB etc. Eugene
is going to work in conjunction with Kristi, Madeleine and Paul to update our web.
• Membership – Barbara Chynoweth- We have a new member. Lauren McPherson has requested a copy of
the membership list.
• Library – Paul Kitchener – No Report

Correspondence – Received a letter in regard to the June Caldwood Outstanding Achievement Award for Volunteers for 2015. It was also requested Pat send a condolence card to Joyce Scruton's family.

Workshop Report – – Paul Kitchener and Jim Wilkes presented the finding from the Workshop signup sheet from the Annual. Discussion followed and a series of workshops will be set up to answer the wants of the people.

Branch Reports

Hamilton – Lauchlan Harrison – No Report. No Rep available.
Mississauga – Jim Wilkes – Sad news Joyce Scruton passed away. At the last meeting we did leather mache on bottle demonstrator Joyce Scruton.
Norland – Tracey Howard – Made Dream Catchers and little purses to sell at a craft sale to make money for the club.
MAL – Lauren McPherson – (received by email) At the Thorndale Fall Fair held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 Lauren demonstrated 'Leather Mache' and 'Barbed Leather Jewellery' with display, sales and networking support from London Leather Guild members.

New Business
Constitution – The Constitution Committee has completed a draft of the new proposed Constitution. A copy will be forwarded to the executive. Please read and be prepared to discuss at the next meeting.
ECO – It was also suggested we create a new position. Electronic Communications Officer. To be discussed next meeting.
