A founding member of the Belleville Leather Guild who joined the Society in 1965, he served on the Executive Council in 1967. He served as President of the Belleville Branch in 1970 and 1971 and on its Council and Executive Council through the 1970s. He designed the small maple leaf pin worn by nearly all C.S.C.L. members, and was made a Life Member in 1984.

Presented at the 34th Annual Meeting by Membership Chairman Hilda Chynoweth, alongside May Corbett. His own newsletter profile (Summer 1984, p5) adds: took his first leathercraft lessons in 1955 or 1956, helped form the Belleville Leather Guild, joined C.S.C.L. in 1965; designed the small maple leaf pin worn by nearly all C.S.C.L. members (Al Stolman among those given one); turned 80 in April 1982.
