Hilda Chynoweth

← People of the Society · on record 1979–2001

Everything the Society’s own records say of Hilda Chynoweth — the offices held, the standings conferred, and the awards won — gathered on one page. Where the records are silent, so is this one.

In memoriam · 1 March 2010 (b. 13 February 1910)

A member of the Norland Chynoweth family who reached her 100th birthday on 13 February 2010. The Fall 2011 newsletter (p6, "Update from the Norland Guild" by her granddaughter Tracey Howard) gives the exact date of death, 1 March 2010, and adds that she was instrumental in starting the Norland Guild in the late 1970s, demonstrated leathercraft at the Kinmount, Bobcaygeon and Fenelon Falls fairs, and was still doing leatherwork up to the end.

From Autumn 2011, page 6; and Spring 2010, page 9.
