Certification

Of Ottawa. Beyond her Executive Council seat (1952-1953) and her 1953 Fellow certification, the newsletters carry a recurring Corbeil-Hooke advertisement offering her Handbag Design Style No. 12 as a pattern, 1952–1953. She wrote up the Central Canada Exhibition, Ottawa, for the newsletter in the fall of 1954, contributed the “purse linings and pockets” section of the Society's travelling educational exhibition (shown in Barrie, Kirkland Lake, Iroquois Falls, Timmins, Galt and the London Public Library, 1953-54), helped staff the Society's display at M'Lady Fair, Montreal, in December 1952, with Jessie Tyrell and Deane Russell, and donated the leather stock for a 1954 exhibition draw won by Marion Johnson — beyond the six First Awards and Best Piece in Show her design work had already won at the 1951 Canadian National Exhibition, on record.
