Nan Astley
← People of the Society · on record 1967–1971
Everything the Society’s own records say of Nan Astley — the offices held, the standings conferred, and the awards won — gathered on one page. Where the records are silent, so is this one.
Possibly the same person: E. Astley →
The Fall 1970 Canadian National Exhibition prize list, p12, credits “E. Astley” with a Lewiscraft credit note for undecorated leather. Nan Astley, an Associate of the Society from 1968 and a Fellow from 1969, is also recorded as Elizabeth Astley: the 1968 best leather entry prints “Mrs. Elizabeth Astley, Scarboro” and a Salon Award of those years “Mrs. Elizabeth Astley, Toronto”. E. Astley is very likely that same Elizabeth Astley, but the 1970 list gives no town and no given name.
