The fifty-eighth Annual, over 2–4 May 2008, was held as a Red Neck Weekend. Lauch Harrison passed the Presidency to Phyllis McHale; Hamilton won the Weston Trophy for articles by Lauch Harrison, Peter Grove, Sean Dalgetty and Tracey Gearing; and Loreen Manuel and Marion Kehoe were each made an Honourary Life Member. The Society's newsletter for Spring 2008, pages 3–5.
