Marion Kehoe

← People of the Society · on record 1959–2010

Everything the Society’s own records say of Marion Kehoe — the offices held, the standings conferred, and the awards won — gathered on one page. Where the records are silent, so is this one.

In memoriam · 17 January 2019

A Life Member and Member-at-Large from London, Ontario, in her 99th year. Her obituary ran in the newsletter cover-dated "Autumn 2018" (Vol. LXVII No. 1) under her fuller name, "Marion Stratton KEHOE (Donaldson)" -- a full name and maiden name printed nowhere else. The cover date sits oddly before her recorded 17 January 2019 death, suggesting (as with other issues in this run) the issue was actually produced later than its printed season.

From Autumn 2018, page 6.

Standing

Society Member 1988–1997

Branch

London · recorded holding office in 1965

An Honourary Life Member (2008). The report of the 9th Annual Meeting, 1959, names her as “Mrs. Kehoe, London”, demonstrating turtle lapel pins. With Dorothy McPherson she co-founded the Annual's London Jewellery Award in 2010, first awarded at the 61st Annual (Dundurn Castle, Hamilton) and intended for five consecutive years; the Society's Members-at-Large final report (May 2026) restates the fact but dates it to a Fall 2019 newsletter mention rather than the founding itself, while her obituary and Dorothy McPherson's 2016 profile both date the founding to 2010. The Society’s own citation for her Life Membership has her joining about 1953; a 2016 report and her obituary both give 1952.
