In memoriam · 1996
A longtime member of the Toronto branch and an Honourary Life Member of the Society. A bookkeeper by occupation, he assisted at many CSCL sales at the CNE and was the Society's Treasurer 1986-91 — the span the Spring 1996 newsletter gives, and the one his own rows bear out. His death is reported there as recent news, with no date; the notice is the archive's only source for it.

Presented at the 1986 Annual Meeting, hosted by Hamilton at the Beacon Motor Inn, Jordan Station (Vineland), Ontario. George McPhail was not present; the certificate was to be given to him afterward by Hilda Chynoweth, Membership Chairman, at the Executive's next meeting. His 1996 death notice recorded the honour without a date; the contemporary report supplies it.
